Liverpool: Alexander-Arnold compared to Gerrard by commentator
Trent Alexander-Arnold called Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Leicester their “best performance of the season” as the right back stole the show at the King Power Stadium. It was expected to be a tight match between the two top teams in the English top flight, but it proved anything but come the final whistle.
Leicester looked shaky at the back from the outset as Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah had half chances to break the deadlock.
Ultimately, it was a pinpoint cross from Alexander-Arnold to Roberto Firmino which got the ball rolling for Liverpool as they controlled proceedings throughout.
Jamie Vardy was kept quiet by Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez while the midfield trio dictated play.
Still, Leicester remained in with a chance of getting something out of the game as the Reds struggled to take their chances.

That all changed with 20 minutes remaining as Liverpool won a penalty after Caglar Soyuncu handled the ball from an Alexander-Arnold corner, with James Milner converting from the spot.
Alexander-Arnold provided another sublime assist for Firmino just minutes later before the Liverpool right-back added a goal of his own soon after to complete the rout.
The win now puts Liverpool 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League but, while Alexander-Arnold is enjoying their current position, he insists the team aren’t getting carried away just yet.
“We played really good football after all the travelling and intense period,” he told Amazon. “Taking that into account, it's probably our best performance of the season.
