Manchester United and Chelsea transfer target Erling Haaland will “soon” leave Red Bull Salzburg, according to former Liverpool midfielder Steve McManaman. Haaland has been linked with a host of Europe’s top clubs following a stunning start to the season in front of goal. The striker had scored 28 goals in 21 appearances this season ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Liverpool.

Norwegian Haaland only joined Salzburg from Molde in January, signing a five-year contract.
But his stock has risen incredibly during his time in the Austrian top flight.
Former England striker Michael Owen admits he initially ignored Haaland’s stats at domestic level.
But Owen says now the forward has replicated that form in the Champions League, with eight goals to date in his first five matches, there is no doubt his form should be recognised.
