Liverpool vs Aston Villa: Klopp repsonds to Mane goal
Piers Morgan led the way in criticism of VAR, after another controversial afternoon in the Premier League.
While there were a host of close calls, the one which got most people talking was when Roberto Firmino had an equaliser for Liverpool at Aston Villa ruled out for offside.
Morgan tweeted after seeing the ruling: “VAR just ruled this Liverpool goal offside.
“Further proof that VAR is the worst innovation in world football history. Scrap it.”
To try and offer an explanation to supporters, the Premier League took to social media themselves in attempt to clear up the decision.
"Liverpool's Roberto Firmino was flagged offside before putting the ball in the net against Aston Villa and the decision was confirmed by VAR,” they tweeted.
"The red line signifies Firmino and was aligned to his armpit, which was marginally ahead of the last Villa defender."
Morgan was not best pleased though, replying: “Aligned to his armpit’ - is this a joke?”

Gary Lineker, who is often seen arguing with Morgan, was actually in agreement over the decision.
He tweeted: “Firmino has had a goal disallowed for offside.
“He wasn’t offside but VAR decided he was offside. When it comes to VAR I’m now offside.”
The Match of the Day presenter also quote tweeted the Premier League explanation with a series of laughing emojis.
Jurgen Klopp was not best pleased with the decision after the match, despite snatching all three points at the death through Sadio Mane’s glancing header.
