Chelsea fans have had to wait to see the best from Christian Pulisic this season, but the 21-year-old American didn’t disappoint after scoring a fantastic hat-trick on Saturday.
His ‘perfect’ hat-trick, which saw him score with both feet and his head, announced his arrival in the Premier League, as Chelsea beat Burnley 4-2 at Turf Moor.
And Belgium manager Roberto Martinez has credited Lampard with playing a vital role in helping Pulisic settle into the team.
“What impressed me the most is the way Frank Lampard has managed him,” Martinez told Goals on Sunday.

“We all know when a foreign player arrivers in the Premier League, it doesn’t matter who you are, you need a settling period.
“For Lampard to know exactly what Christian needed, it’s taken him ten games to unleash him in a way, I think from the European Cup and the game against Liverpool in the Super Cup, Christian Pulisic is now adapted to the Premier League.
“That’s full credit to Frank Lampard.”
Chelsea completed the signing of Pulisic in January for £57.6million from Borussia Dortmund, but as part of deal the Blues agreed to loan him back to the German club for the remainder of last season.

The youngster scored seven goals and created six assists in his final season for Dortmund, before then joining up with the USA to help them reach the Concacaf Gold Cup final, where they lost to Mexico.
Many see Pulisic as a replacement for Eden Hazard, who left to join Real Madrid in the summer.
And Martinez thinks that while the two players are very different the American has a similar style in the final third to the former Blues winger.
“Eden is a player that stops and assesses where he can execute his moment in a one v one situation,” Martinez added.
“I think Christian is dynamic, he always needs to be on the move. He’s someone that needs to receive on the move, so they’re very different in that aspect.
“I think what they bring in the final third is exactly the same, players that think and take control of the moment and then they can find a good assist or a goal.”
