The Lilywhites took the lead in the 74th minute thanks to Tom Barkhuizen but Leeds substitute Eddie Nketiah managed to secure a draw, when his header found the back of the net with three minutes remaining in the match.
The draw means Leeds are currently second in the table and maintain their two-point gap to league leaders West Brom, after the Baggies fought back to claim a 2-2 draw at home against Barnsley.

However, after thirteen games, the Yorkshire club have currently scored the fewest goals among the top five teams in the Championship - with 17 goals in 13 games.
And Preston boss Alex Neil believes Leeds’ poor conversion rate is their only weakness.
“Probably the one facet they would like to better at is the conversion of chances,” Neil said.

“They get the ball back, they’re hungry, aggressive and just a good side in every aspect apart from conversion of chances.”
And after the game Bielsa admitted his side found it difficult to convert their chances at Deepdale on Tuesday night.
"Until they scored, the match was completely for us,” Bielsa said.
