Barcelona would prefer to sign Kylian Mbappe from PSG rather than raid Manchester United or Tottenham for Marcus Rashford or Harry Kane.
The Catalan giants are seeking a striker amid a belief that Luis Suarez is past his best - despite the Uruguay international scoring six goals across all competitions already this season.
And Mundo Deportivo claim that while Barcelona admire Rashford and Kane, Mbappe is their dream candidate to touch down at the Nou Camp.
The France international has been in stunning form ever since bursting onto the scene with Monaco in 2017.

And Real Madrid are also interested in signing the PSG star having wanted to snap him up two years ago.
Florentino Perez thought he would be able to persuade Mbappe into moving to the Bernabeu.
But the player opted to ditch Monaco for PSG instead.
Meanwhile, Mbappe was absent as France beat Iceland 1-0 in their Euro 2020 qualifier on Friday night.
And, speaking recently, France manager Didier Deschamps admitted the youngster ‘wasn’t ready’ to play in the game.
"He left for the very simple reason that he wasn't ready. He wasn't quite there."
He added: "He wanted to come and give himself the chance, but from the moment that that becomes impossible, it was logical to give him back to his club."
While PSG are determined to keep hold of Mbappe, the chances of Kane and Rashford leaving are also remote.
Tottenham star Kane is the club’s talisman and Daniel Levy can be a shrewd negotiator in the transfer market.
Rashford, meanwhile, only signed a new Manchester United contract back in the summer.
