Unai Emery believes Nicolas Pepe is “ready to have more minutes” after settling into life at Arsenal, who face Liverpool this weekend.
Arsenal broke their record transfer fee spend for Pepe, who cost £72million from Ligue 1 side Lille.
The Ivory Coast international represented his country at the Africa Cup of Nations during the summer and Emery has given the winger time to regain full fitness.
Pepe has featured as a substitute in Premier League wins over Newcastle and Burnley but the Gunners face a tougher test this weekend in European champions Liverpool.
“I am new, the strategy and tactics are new and it really helps that I can get the coach's assistance. Now I need to learn English and this is something he is helping me with also.
