Pepe said that he decided to move to the Emirates Stadium to help the Gunners get back into the Champions League.
He’s also set his sights on winning the Europa League, after Arsenal lost against Chelsea in the final last season.
“I chose to come here because it’s a club with a lot of ambition,” said the winger.
“They have the dream of coming back to the Champions League and I am also an ambitious person, so the choice was very logical.

“I am attracted to the Premier League because it is an extremely intense championship and the best league in the world.
“The idea is to win the Europa League and that is a goal of ours. It's a European event and our goal is to do better than last season.”
Pepe is yet to start his first match in the Premier League since his arrival, having started both of Arsenal’s matches on the bench.
But, he came on as a substitute against Newcastle and Burnley, and has provided fans with a glimpse of why the club chose to spend £72m on him.
