Manchester United would be obligated to buy out the remainder of Alexis Sanchez's contract
Therefore, United would be obligated to buy out the remainder of his contract, in order to seal his exit from Old Trafford if his Inter stay was made permanent.
Sanchez has two years left on his current contract at United, where he earns almost £400,000-a-week.
Both clubs held talks on Wednesday in a bid to confirm a deal ahead of the transfer deadline on September 2.
It’s believed that the option to sign Sanchez in a permanent transfer will be set at around £15m.

If the option is triggered, it’ll help United to offset some of the money they’ll be spending to let Sanchez leave.
The 30-year-old is keen on an exit from Old Trafford after a turbulent spell at the club.
He arrived in January 2018 from Arsenal, having had just six months remaining on his deal with the Gunners. Arriving as part of a straight swap deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and therefore not costing United a transfer fee meant he could negotiate larger wages from the club's hierarchy.
