What Neymar thinks about Barcelona transfer as Philippe Coutinho nears Bayern Munich move
NEYMAR remains confident of a transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Barcelona as Philippe Coutinho nears the exit door at the Nou Camp, according to reports.
Barcelona: Neymar and Coutinho links addressed by pundits
Brazil forward Neymar made his thoughts clear on his future earlier this summer, and angered club bosses by returning late for pre-season training.
The 27-year-old become the most expensive player in history when moving from Spain to France in 2017, but has grown frustrated at their lack of success in Europe.
The ex-Santos winger is now hoping for a return to Catalonia before the transfer window closes on the continent, and he is growing in confidence that a deal will be concluded.
French outlet Le Parisien have revealed that Neymar is feeling good about his chances of leaving France, even though Coutinho - who was mooted as a player PSG could take from Barca in a cash-plus-player deal - has moved closer to a loan move to Bayern Munich.
The report goes on to claim that the reigning La Liga champions are readying a new bid for PSG’s star man, which could involve one of their players going the other way.
Thomas Tuchel is said to be a fan of Ousmane Dembele, but the youngster’s desire to stay put could see Neymar stay in Paris.
"There isn't a solution right now, but our relationship is the same because it's a thing between him and the club," Tuchel said when asked about the future of his player.
"If there's no solution then he'll stay with us.

"When I think of a strong team I think of a team with Neymar."
Earlier this summer Liverpool legend and ESPN FC pundit Steve Nicol spoke of where he thinks is the best place for Neymar to continue to showcase his talents, and it’s not at his current club.
“Absolutely 100 per cent Barcelona is where he was at his best and could be at his best again,” Nicol said.
