Tottenham should ‘DEFINITELY’ sign Paulo Dybala says pundit
Tottenham are keen to boost their chances of Premier League success by making a statement in the form of incoming deals.
Tanguy Ndombele signed from Lyon earlier this month in a record £53.8million switch, which will be bettered if they seal a shock deal for Dybala.
Reports have also linked Manchester United with the Argentina forward as the player considers leaving Italy, but Spurs are pursuing the deal more actively.
The Times report that a bid of over £80m could be enough to tempt Maurizio Sarri into selling the versatile attacker, but Tottenham are not confident that they will secure a deal.
During his side’s pre-season preparations Sarri has not hinted that Dybala is considering an exit, and has discussed in detail the role that the 25-year-old could play in his team.
"I think Dybala can play as a false nine quite comfortably,” he said.
"We can also set up the attack slightly differently, with the 4-3-1-2 and Dybala playing on the right of a front two.
"We’ll try to give continuity to the good things we did in the second half [against Tottenham] in Singapore."

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has promised fans that the club will continue to improve the team if opportunities arise, but outlined that he is not feeling pressure to spend more cash.
Levy said: “If I’m honest, we don’t feel the pressure.
“Our view is wherever we can we will improve the team.
“We have embarked in recent years on two very major capital projects, which I think in the long term will be of great benefit to the club.
