Paulo Dybala on Man United’s shortlist claims McGarry
The Argentine has emerged as a shock target for Spurs who continue to spend heavily this summer in a bid to close the gap on Manchester City and Liverpool.
Multiple reports in both England and Italy claimed that Tottenham have expressed an interest to Juventus about the possibility of signing Dybala this summer.
Now it looks as if they have taken the first step in trying to bring the striker to north London.
According to Italian newspaper La Stampa who are based in Turin, Tottenham have seen a £44million bid rejected by the Old Lady.
The offer is thought to be well below the club’s valuation of the 25-year-old.
Even if that was met, it’s still not clear whether Juventus would be prepared to sell, particularly at this stage of the transfer window.
Now that Maurizio Sarri is in charge at the Allianz Stadium, there is optimism that Dybala can find his best form and reach his ceiling under the tutelage of the former Chelsea boss.
Dybala is currently away on his holidays after playing for Argentina at this summer’s Copa America.

Paulo Dybala to Man Utd 'doesn't make sense' claims Nicol
He is keen to clarify his position at the club upon his return and will sit down with Sarri to discuss his plans for the upcoming campaign.
If Juventus were prepared to sell Dybala, Tottenham would have to significantly raise their offer. They also remain in the hunt for Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon.
He may have had a poor season under Massimiliano Allegri, but this is a player who has been one of the best in Serie A for quite some time.
Tottenham are exploring the possibility of signing another striker before the August 8 deadline.
