Man United: Bruno Fernandes is a ‘complicated deal’ says pundit
It was reported by Portuguese newspaper Correio de Manha earlier this week that Sporting would decide on Fernandes’ future before Sunday 7 July.
The player was pictured smiling and joking with team-mates before the side jetted off to Switzerland, where they will play Rapperswil on Wednesday before taking on St Gallen on Saturday.
Sporting posted a video on Twitter of the club captain posing for a photo, captioned: “See you soon, Switzerland!”
Fernandes was selected as part of Marcel Keizer’s 29-man squad making the trip central Europe amid speculation over his future, which is expected to continue over the coming weeks.
That looks likely with Sporting expected to hold out for more than £50m.
Fernandes scored 31 goals from midfield last season - breaking a European record set by Frank Lampard - and has garnered interest from not only United but also Tottenham and Liverpool.

“I want Bruno Fernandes to stay, but everyone knows the current situation,” he told Portuguese newspaper Record.
“It's going to be difficult to keep him. He's on vacation, we'll see what happens."
Correio de Manha also report Fernandes thinks he will end up at United this summer.
