The number of tickets Liverpool and Spurs players have for Champions League final revealed
THE number of tickets Liverpool and Tottenham players have been given for the Champions League final has now been revealed.
Both clubs have decided to give each squad member four free tickets for the showpiece in Madrid.
In addition, each player can purchase another 20 from the club for friends and family.
Senior staff have been given the same allocation, meaning around 1,000 tickets from each club will be taken up by the players' nearest and dearest at Wanda Metropolitano stadium.
Liverpool face Tottenham in Madrid a week today. It will be the third time they face Mauricio Pochettino's side this season after beating them twice in the league.
That included a dramatic 2-1 win at Anfield when they grabbed a late winner thanks to a Hugo Lloris mistake and Toby Alderweireld's own-goal.
Liverpool have spent the past week in Marbella as they finalise last-minute preparations for the clash.
And ahead of the game, Gini Wijaldum has urged Liverpool to deliver the trophy their sensational season deserves.
"Everyone is focused and determined to win a trophy, especially because we've had a really good year," said the Liverpool midfielder.
"It was a great year with 97 points in the league but unfortunately we didn't end as champions, so that's why we want to finish the season with a trophy.
In the last game of the league season we couldn't control things because it wasn't in our hands.
"Now it's different, it's a final, so we're going to try to make the best of it and try to win the game, but we know Tottenham are really tough."
On the two previous meetings between the two clubs this season, Wijnaldum added: "You could see how tough Tottenham were in the two games - especially the second one.
"We won in the end, but it could have gone differently.
"Every time it has been a battle against them - we've never had it easy. So we know what we have to do."
