MANCHESTER CITY have beaten Watford to win the FA Cup. So, to up morale among fans, Manchester United should try and announce a new signing this very weekend.
Man City: People are waiting for us to be guilty says Guardiola
Manchester City made Manchester United’s worst domestic season in recent memory complete by beating Watford to win the FA Cup on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola’s side found themselves under pressure early on, with Roberto Pereyra missing a huge chance to put the Hornets in front.
Manchester City survived that, though, and emerged victorious courtesy of goals from David Silva, Raheem Sterling (3), Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus.
Silva opened the scoring with a low strike in the 26th minute at Wembley.
And Sterling doubled Manchester City’s lead 12 minutes later, with the England international stealing the goal from Gabriel Jesus on the line from close range.
De Bruyne and Jesus added two more in the second half before a Sterling brace added gloss late on.
City have now become the first EVER team in English football to win all three domestic trophies in a single season.
Which is exactly why United should announce a transfer this weekend.
The sight of seeing Guardiola’s team win ANOTHER trophy will no doubt rankle with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the club’s supporters.
A decade ago, it was they who were the dominant force in English football.
