Manchester United supremos Woodward and the Glazer family are facing a big summer ahead, both on and off the pitch.
The Red Devils are primed to announce a technical director - expected to be Mike Phelan - as they target Premier League title under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer next season.
They are also likely to splash the cash this summer with as many as six new faces possibly arriving. Jadon Sancho and Kalidou Koulibaly, of Borussia Dortmund and Napoli respectively, are being eyed.
And ESPN claim both Woodward and the Glazers are in agreement that the club should copy the Liverpool model.
