Chelsea blow as Gabriele Marcotti predicts transfer fear all fans have
EDEN HAZARD will be leaving Chelsea this summer, claims European football expert Gabriele Marcotti.
Hazard is heavily linked with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid.
The Chelsea man has not hidden his desire to one day play for the Spanish side.
Earlier this week he once again revealed his feelings on Real boss Zinedine Zidane, who returned to the Bernabeu earlier this year.
“For me as a supporter of Zidane I was very happy he came back, because football needs Zidane,” Hazard said.
I think this deal will get done, certainly from the Chelsea end, from the Hazard end
“For Real it’s good, for the Real fans it’s good, for the other teams it’s not so good.”
Marcotti was asked the chances out of 10 of Eden Hazard leaving Chelsea for Real Madrid.
He rated the deal at a seven but then claimed the move will be completed.
“I’ve got a seven on this,” Marcotti told ESPN FC.
“Look, it’s certainly the vibe coming from Chelsea as well.
“They’d love to keep him around, they’d love to extend his contract, give him even more money.
“But it’s really not about money with Hazard at this stage.
“He’s been at the club a long time, he’s won titles, he’s won important trophies.
“He wants to have another footballing experience and that is to play for Real Madrid before he gets too old.
“So I think this deal will get done, certainly from the Chelsea end, from the Hazard end.
“That’s why I’m going to say seven.”
