Cristiano Ronaldo: Juventus 'got away with risk' says pundit
Cristiano Ronaldo sent shockwaves around the world when he quit Real Madrid in the summer, opting to join Juventus in huge £105million transfer deal.
The 34-year-old has enjoyed a fine first campaign in Turin, scoring 26 goals across all competitions to drive the Serie A giants to the verge of another Scudetto triumph.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, have struggled without Ronaldo and are primed to finish the season without a trophy for the first time since 2015.
And Capello believes they have lost their fear factor without the Portugal international in their ranks.
"I always say, that Real Madrid and Barcelona start matches winning 1-0 and if you want to beat them you have to score at least two goals," he said at the World Soccer Congress.
"This year Madrid have lacked the 1-0, and have started at 0-0 like the others and that's why they have faced so many difficulties.
"Now we see what is happening at Juventus with Cristiano [Ronaldo] as, with the Portuguese, the opposition defenders were very scared before and now they are not."
Ronaldo left Real Madrid in the summer mere weeks after Zinedine Zidane’s exit.
Zidane has sensationally returned to the club, however.

The Frenchman has steered the club back onto the right path with Los Blancos now set to secure Champions League football for next season.
And Capello has admitted he was surprised by Zidane’s decision to return.
"[Zidane's return] has surprised me a lot to say the truth," he added.
"I think that now he has more power than before, because when he joined the club for the first time it was Florentino Perez who put him on the job and now it was [Perez] who asked him to go back.
