And when asked by presenter Jules Breach on BT Sport Score to rate Lampard’s season at Derby, Sutton gave a better rating than the one he had given for Gerrard earlier in the day.
“I think he’s done pretty well, out the moment, I wouldn’t have thought they’d be automatic promotion candidates,” he said.
“So at the moment I would say he’s a seven out of 10. If you want a mark he’s a seven.”
Derby dropped out of the top six in the Championship following Aston Villa’s 3-0 win over Middlesbrough.

And on Saturday morning, when asked by Robbie Savage to rate Gerrard’s first season as a manager, Sutton responded brutally.
“Oh wow, honestly?” Sutton pondered on BT Sport.
“Honestly... four.
“He doesn’t manage a mediocre Premier League English team! It’s about winning trophies and he’s not going to win any!"
