Spain were the first team to confirm their place in Sunday’s Euro 2024 final. La Roja sensationally came from behind to defeat France 2-1 in Munich on Tuesday, and will now sit back and find out whether they will face England or the Netherlands.

Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions have the chance to reach successive European Championship finals. They lost the Euro 2020 showdown against Italy three years ago, suffering defeat in a devastating penalty shootout.

England must first beat the Netherlands in Wednesday’s second semi-final. Regardless of that game, Spain will be considered strong favourites given their hugely exciting performances in Germany this summer.

Express Sport brings you all the details on the Euro 2024 final.

What time is the Euro 2024 final?

The Euro 2024 final will kick off at 8pm UK time. Fans can settle in for what could be a tight match. Extra-time and potentially penalties will decide the match if there is a draw.

When is the Euro 2024 final?

Spain will meet their final opponents on Sunday, July 14. It will mark exactly a month of football and 49 games in total.

The tournament started with Germany’s 5-1 thrashing of Scotland in Munich. Since then, 24 teams have battled to become European champions. Come Sunday, only two nations will remain and play for the right to win the Henri Delaunay trophy.

Where is the Euro 2024 final venue?

Berlin will host the Euro 2024 final. The city’s Olympiastadion has a rich history of hosting sporting events since being built in the 1930s.

The venue hosted the controversial 1936 Olympics, in which Brit Jesse Owens won four gold medals. It was also the ground where Italy defeated France in the 2006 World Cup final - a game famed for Zinedine Zidane’s red card in his last game of football.

Remarkably, when it is not hosting major sporting events, the 74,475-capacity arena is the home of second-tier German side Hertha Berlin.

England fans will fondly remember the Olympiastadion as the venue for their 5-1 thrashing of Germany in 2001.

Coverage is expected to begin at 7pm.
