You walk back to your spot, you’re sitting there now going ‘you know what, this is us, no better time than now to play this team’
Tottenham's reaction to the Arsenal team according to Rio Ferdinand
Tottenham went into the match off the back of two straight defeats in the Premier League.
But Ferdinand says they would have been reinvigorated by seeing the Arsenal team sheet.
“I think Torreira being on the bench, the most influential midfielder, most dynamic midfielder they’ve had this season, a fan’s favourite now, and your top goalscorer being on the bench as well, I think more than anything that absolutely invigorates this team in the opposite changing room,” Ferdinand said.
“Spurs changing room will see that team sheet come out, when you see a team sheet come out, you all sit there, get round the manager, ‘Who’s in? Who’s in? Who’s not in? Aubameyang’s on the bench? Torreira’s on the bench?’.

“Arguably, if you were going to pick, one, two, three, four, five, six players in the starting XI, you wouldn’t be able to pick six better than the bench I don’t think today.
