Rodgers is widely expected to leave Celtic for Leicester after the Hoops agreed to let him talk to the Premier League giants on Tuesday.
The Northern Irishman took training as usual on Monday but, in the early hours of the morning, has jetted to Leicester for talks over a return to English football.
Rodgers previously managed in England with Liverpool and came close to delivering the Premier League crown in 2014.
Leicester are willing to pay a huge £6million to name the 46-year-old as their replacement for Claude Puel.

But it appears a Premier League return is now in the offing.
Meanwhile, BBC Scotland Sports correspondent Chris Mclaughlin believes Celtic fans will hate the news that Rodgers is nearing the exit door.
"It's the news the Celtic fans had been dreading," he said.
"Since taking over in 2016 he has delivered everything domestically - the double treble was secured at the end of last season and the club were on the way to make it a triple treble.
