And Cascarino believes the Reds are frightened as we head into the final stages of the season.
“Liverpool don’t look like a team confidently chasing the title,” Cascarino wrote for The Times.
“They look afraid.
“They may have got a point away against one of their rivals but the bigger picture is that they don’t look like they believe they can win the Premier League.
“Pep Guardiola, the Manchester City manager, was no doubt preparing for the Carabao Cup final but when he watches this match back he will be loving it.

“He will sit there thinking, ‘This is not the Liverpool we saw last season and at the start of this campaign’.
“They were laboured and wasteful with the ball [vs United]. The Liverpool forward Sadio Mané gave it away so many times he was nearly United’s man of the match.”
Former Liverpool star Steve Nicol is also worried about the form of the Reds' attacking threats.
“Unfortunately going forward the front three [Salah, Mane and Roberto Firmino] are firing blanks,” Nicol said.
