Man Utd: Koulibaly 'best defender that can be signed' says pundit
Manchester United are understood to be pursuing Koulibaly, who could leave Napoli when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.
The Senegal international has impressed over in Serie A and, with the Red Devils primed to overhaul their squad, a summer transfer is expected.
Many reports have claimed that Koulibaly is Manchester United’s priority summer target despite having Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling at their disposal.
The club will also welcome back defenders Tim Fosu-Mensah and Axel Tuanzebe back to Old Trafford at the end of the season.
Yet the Independent say Koulibaly is no longer their No 1 target.
Instead, the Red Devils are supposedly eyeing Inter Milan star Milan Skriniar.
Skriniar has impressed over at the San Siro and is yet to put pen to paper on a new contract over in Italy.
It is said United believe he is the likeliest transfer for the summer as they aim to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League next term.

And the Independent say Koulibaly is now merely a back-up target.
Sampdoria's Joachim Andersen is also in their sights, having also flourished over in Serie A this season.
But who United end up with remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, the report also suggests the Red Devils are torn over what to do with Ivory Coast international Eric Bailly.
