The stunt won't have amused Everton players or manager Marco Silva, as they lost 3-1 to Wolves.
Goals from Ruben Neves, Raul Jiminez and Leander Dendoncker were enough to secure the points for Nuno Espirito Santo's side.
Jiminez's goal, in particular, was bad from an Everton point-of-view, as the Mexican was just allowed to roam free before finishing.
Andre Gomes briefly got his side back into the game with a thumping finish, however.

Wolves have now picked up their third Premier League win in a row.
Silva will now be under pressure, having been knocked out of the FA Cup last week by Millwall.
Defensive frailties have been the biggest downfall for Everton recently, and they'll be itching to get back to winning ways.
