Hodgson and Klopp preview Liverpool vs Crystal Palace
Milner was torn apart by Wilfried Zaha all day against Crystal Palace - and he was sent off two minutes before the end.
The makeshift right-back, playing because Nathaniel Clyne is out on loan and Trent Alexander-Arnold is injured, dived in at Zaha and brought him down on the halfway line.
He was handed a second booking for the challenge, forcing Liverpool into a nervy finish.
It was 3-2 at the time and although Sadio Mane netted soon after, Max Meyer made it 4-3 to set up a grandstand finale.
Robbie Fowler saw the incident while working on the BT Sport Score show and said: "I don't think he's got any complaints. The first one came when Schlupp had that header.
"This one is with Zaha, he gets there a little bit too late and takes him out. I don't think he can have too many complaints."
Saunders was working alongside Fowler on the show and he intervened after seeing footage.
"I don't get players who do that. You're on a yellow card so stay on your feet. You can't risk it," he fumed.
