Man Utd team news: Predicted Man Utd line up vs Crystal Palace – Shaw suspended, Dalot in
MANCHESTER UNITED could be without a number of key first team stars when they return to Premier League action against Crystal Palace on Saturday (3pm).
Paul Pogba: I'm happy playing for Manchester United
Manchester United are plagued by injury doubts ahead of their clash with Crystal Palace at Old Trafford this weekend.
Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho will be looking for a reaction from his players as they attempt to get back to winning ways following the international break.
United suffered a humiliating 3-1 defeat to rivals Manchester City in their last Premier League outing, leaving them languishing down in eighth.
And now Mourinho could be without up to four key players against Palace due to injury, while Luke Shaw is also suspended.
The England left-back picked up his fifth booking of the season at the Etihad and has a one-match ban, meaning Diogo Dalot is in line for a return to the first team.
The Portuguese defender has been sidelined with an unspecified injury since September but has returned to training and confirmed that he is ready to contribute, although he may still be short of match sharpness.
With Antonio Valencia still out of favour, Mourinho may opt to throw Dalot in at the deep end with Ashley Young switching flanks in order to accommodate the 19-year-old.
Meanwhile, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford are all nursing knocks after returning from international duty.
Martial was spotted at Carrington on Tuesday and should be fit to feature while his compatriot Pogba pulled out of the France squad last week but is expected to feature.
However, Rashford limped straight down the tunnel after being substituted during England’s 2-1 win over Croatia and is a major doubt.
Lukaku is also a worry after the striker missed both of Belgium’s Nations League matches due to a hamstring problem.
Jesse Lingard will compete with Juan Mata for a place on the right wing while Alexis Sanchez is expected to lead the line against the Eagles if Lukaku is unavailable.
