Harry Redknapp cleans Jungle toilet EIGHT years after Arsenal win and Spurs title claim
HARRY REDKNAPP got his hands dirty in the Jungle today - exactly eight years after one of his best moments in football management.
Harry Redknapp is appearing in ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!
The football manager, 71, is being paid £500,000 to be on the show.
Redknapp has not managed since leaving Birmingham in 2017.
He has proved himself as a valuable member of the jungle camp, with his willingness to clean out the toilet.
Why can't we win it? Why should we be fearful?
“I can’t smell anything. So clearing the dunny out - easiest job in the world for me,” he said.
“I tell you what, I’m happy to do it because I’m no use with the cooking. That’ll be my job. Harry the s*** shoveler.”
Yet it is a far cry from where he was eight years ago, when the gaffer was flying high with Tottenham.
On November 20, 2010, Tottenham completed a famous comeback against Arsenal to rock their London rivals 3-2.
Goals from Gareth Bale and Rafael van der Vaart drew the scores level in the second half.
And Younes Kaboul then bagged the winner with five minutes remaining.
After the game, Redknapp boldly came out with a title prediction for his in-form Spurs side.
“The championship is wide open," he said.
"Chelsea are not as good as they were, Manchester United are not as good as they were… Tottenham are getting closer.
“Why can't we win it? Why should we be fearful?"
Tottenham finished fifth in the 2010/11 Premier League season and reached the Champions League quarter-finals.
Redknapp would stay on as manager at White Hart Lane until 2012, when he was dismissed.
