Marcus Rashford: Why Man Utd star is complete opposite to Raheem Sterling - Jamie Redknapp
MANCHESTER UNITED striker Marcus Rashford performs much better for his country than his club - the opposite to Manchester City star Raheem Sterling.
That is the verdict of Sky Sports pundit and former England midfielder Jamie Redknapp.
Rashford, 20, has scored five goals in his 28 caps for England ahead of tonight’s UEFA Nations League clash away to Spain.
Meanwhile, Sterling has only two goals in his 45 appearances for the Three Lions and has not found the back of the net for over three years.
Sterling is a regular starter at Manchester City and played a big role in leading them to an historic Premier League title win last season.

With Raheem Sterling’s struggles for his country, this guy (Rashford) seems to love putting that England shirt on
The forward scored 23 goals in all competitions under Pep Guardiola and already has four goals this term.
However, Rashford has struggled to nail down a starting spot under Jose Mourinho and has just one goal for Manchester United this season.
Redknapp admits Rashford would perform better as a central striker.
However, he says he will not play that role while Harry Kane is fit.
“He is certainly a better player for England,” Redknapp said of Rashford.
“You’re talking about the opposite side of the scale.
“With Raheem Sterling’s struggles for his country, this guy (Rashford) seems to love putting that England shirt on.
“He seems a much better player when he plays for England.
“He’s got so much quality.
"I would rather see him play as a central striker.
“But you’re not leaving Harry Kane out - he’s the captain, he’s the talisman.”
Both Sterling and Rashford scored in the first half of the clash with Spain as England took a surprise 2-0 first-half lead.
