Emmerdale: Shock moment as White's car crashes into lorry
The family had piled into their jeep to pursue Robert Sugden (played by Ryan Hawley) after he stole baby Seb as they prepared to flee the dales in favour of Australia.
But as the White family raced after him, Lachlan (Thomas Atkinson) decided it was the perfect time to confront his mother of her plan to destroy his relationship with Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).
The teen grabbed the steering wheel from Chrissie (Louise Marwood), leading to the family car swerving into the path of an oncoming lorry.
It was later revealed that both Chrissie and Lawrence (John Bowe) had been killed in the horrific collision while Rebecca (Emily Head) was left in a critical condition.

But while the fate of the White family was confirmed, many fans were stunned to find that no one had checked to see if the lorry driver had survived.
Taking to Twitter, many of those tuning into the long-running ITV soap demanded answers as they feared the driver had been killed.
“@ITVHub_ @emmerdale Yes very dramatic road accident. But not one time was the driver of the lorry thought about. Emmerdale really need a decent continuity person and director!!” one fan tweeted.

Emmerdale: Robert Sugden is convinced Lachlan is to blame for the crash
It comes after Robert claimed he knew Lachlan responsible for the fatal crash, which has left the mother of his son fighting for her life.
And, fans believe they already know how the businessman will expose the youngster for his actions.
Before the collision, Lachlan could be seen calling his friend Gerry Roberts (Shaun Thomas), who did not pick up his phone, which meant he left a voicemail.
