ITV Loose Women's Linda Robson brands major royal 'arrogant' after Princess Diana claim

Loose Women star Denise Welch made a scathing remark about Prince Andrew after he was played by Michael Sheen in the new series A Very Royal Scandal.

Loose Women: Denise and Linda talk about meeting Prince Andrew

Denise Welch and Linda Robson, outspoken panellists of Loose Women, dropped a shocking claim about a high-ranking member of the Royal Family on the ITV show.

As they delved into discussions about the new Amazon Prime drama A Very Royal Scandal, which recounts Prince Andrews notorious BBC Newsnight interview concerning his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, Denise didnt hold back. The programme features Michael Sheen portraying the Duke and promises to be a smash hit for the platform.

Not one to shy away from controversy, Denise revealed her own brush with the Duke of York, labeling him a "narcissist" and accusing him of being "disrespectful about Princess Diana". Her colleague, Linda Robson, echoed this sentiment, having previously branded the prince "arrogant".

The panel couldnt help but mock the alleged "watch party" Prince Andrew is said to be hosting for the unveiling of the contentious series, questioning why he'd want anyone to revisit what many consider his downfall.

Denise commented: "We have heard rumour that Prince Andrew is having a viewing party with his pals. Now you would think, 'Why would you want to be seen going through that?' But in my personal experience of the odd time I've met him, he is a narcissist," reports the Mirror.

She added: "So it wouldn't surprise me at all if he was going to have his friends round and celebrate what was an absolute disaster!"

Linda Robson has unleashed a sharp critique of Prince Andrew's conduct, recalling an encounter that left her unimpressed: "I've met him a couple of times at events that I've been to, and he comes across as quite an arrogant man. I don't know if you remember he was walking around Buckingham Palace grounds and two policemen stopped him, and he was quite rude to them."

She didn't hold back her feelings about his actions: "He said, 'Don't you know who I am?' So I think he's let the Royals down, he really really has. So I won't be watching."

Ruth Wilson is set to grace screens impersonating the intrepid BBC journalist Emily Maitlis, opposite Michael Sheen in a drama that follows on the heels of the documentary Andrew: The Problem Prince, which burrowed behind the scenes of the notorious 2019 interview.

This new depiction comes after Netflix's 'Scoop' first took a creative stab at chronicling the infamous exchange with Rufus Sewell and Gillian Anderson portraying Andrew and Maitlis respectively, alongside Billie Piper's participation.

'Scoop' may have made its mark, but 'A Very Royal Scandal', as reported by The Independent, is said to venture into bolder territory, depicting scenes such as a hunting party where Andrew is probed by Fergie portrayed by Claire Rushbrook on whether he's guilty.
