This Morning: Ben apologises after Cat Deeley swears icing a cake

This Morning descended into chaos as presenter Cat Deeley accidentally swore live on air.

The 47-year-old host was back on the famous blue sofa with co-star Ben Shephard and they decided to try their hand at cake decorating.

In light of September being the most popular birthday month, baking expert Juliet Sear was invited onto the show to demonstrate how to decorate the perfect cake. However, things went awry when she handed over the icing tube to Cat and Ben.

An overwhelmed Cat ended up swearing, prompting Ben to quickly apologise to viewers at home after his co-host said "s**t" amidst the icing confusion. This chaotic segment followed complaints from viewers who were less than impressed with Juliet's cake cutting instructions.

One viewer took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to sarcastically comment: "How to cut a cake, how to put stuff away. Not sure how we'd cope without these invaluable life hacks on #ThisMorning."

Others echoed this sentiment, with one saying: 'How to cut a cake this show has got so much worse #ThisMorning. "Oh grow up, stupid woman! Where did this ridiculous obsession with bringing Christmas earlier every year come from.Another added: "So now we have people telling us how to cut cake properly", reports the Mirror.

A fourth social media user remarked: "Those are some stingy cake portions. #ThisMorning." The show has come under fire from viewers who accused the show of "trying to make them hate it even more" after featuring a guest who celebrates Christmas every day. The woman, surrounded by festive decorations, revealed during the show's holiday segment that she marks the occasion all year round as her children work away and could visit at any time.

She confessed to keeping the stockings filled constantly and is always ready to serve a Christmas roast dinner. Following the interview, hosts Ben and Cat announced that there were 100 days left until December 25th.

Disgruntled by the premature Christmas celebrations, viewers took to X to express their dissatisfaction. One viewer wrote: "Oh grow up, stupid woman! Where did this ridiculous obsession with bringing Christmas earlier every year come from."

Another chimed in: "Well done producers, you have made the viewers hate the show even more. F****n Christmas segments in September." A third person added: "I love Christmas because it's not everyday of the year, it's a special time of year which I love decorating the house for but I couldn't do that everyday of the year."
