Piers Morgan applauded for 'shredding' Remainer Alastair Campbell in explosive Brexit row
PIERS MORGAN has been celebrated for making Alastair Campbell squirm during another heated row over Brexit on Good Morning Britain today.
GMB: Piers Morgan SLAMS Alastair Campbell for fighting Brexit
The fiery host was joined by John Redwood MP and Campbell this morning, following Theresa May’s latest meeting with president of the EU commission, Jean-Claude Juncker.
Once again, Campbell blasted Britain’s decision to withdraw from the European Union, listing the financial implications that he claimed has already, and will continue to, cost billions.
Morgan, 52, stressed he voted to remain in the European Union and admitted he “doesn’t agree with what we’re doing”.
Campbell raged that in 16 months, there has been “next to no process”, but Morgan was having none of it.

You sound like Hillary Clinton - you lost
“You sound like Hillary Clinton,” he groaned. “You lost!”
Viewers celebrated what they called “Campbell’s defeat”, with one posting: “@GMB @campbellclaret - Excellent interview @piersmorgan exposing Campbell (once again) as the deluded, self serving liar we all know he is.”
“Great interview with Alistair Campbell proving how wrong he has been in the past about joining the euro and will again about leaving the EU,” agreed another, which was followed by: “@piersmorgan Good to see you make Alastair Campbell squirm. He loves his own opinions but he's often wrong! #GMB.”

However, Morgan went on to compare the ongoing negations to a divorce, which riled Redwood, 66, up the wrong way.
“It’s not a divorce,” the Brexiteer snapped. “There are no children.”
Morgan intervened: “It is a divorce. There are three million children from the EU in this country who will be affected by this divorce. There are a lot of children - in fact, real children - directly impacted by this decision.”

“They can all stay here; they’re very welcome,” Redwood grinned.
Rolling his eyes, Campbell, 60, sighed: “They’re not welcome.”
