EMMERDALE will see the return of a familiar character next week amid huge drama for one couple.

Kerry Wyatt (played by Laura Norton) has been in a relationship with her partner Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) for three years, but the pair could be about to face their toughest problem yet when one character returns on the ITV soap.
Kerry spots the familiar person in town while running an errand for her partner, and after seeing them in a dishevelled state, realises they are homeless.
Unwilling to turn a blind eye, Kerry carefully follows the person and witnesses them trying to con strangers for money on the streets, which she finds deeply upsetting.
The brunette initially shares her feelings with Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles), but after she urges Kerry to speak to her normally understanding partner, Dan’s reaction to the news shocks her instead.

Unwilling to help the person tied to his past, Kerry decides to step in and do something herself.
With the assistance of Bernice, Kerry goes on the hunt for the person to try and help them change their situation, but when Dan finds out he’s outraged.
Culminating in a huge argument between the pair, Kerry finally drops the bombshell that the reason she is so concerned with their fate is because she once found herself in the same situation.
Meanwhile, the soap will also see a number of other storylines come to a head this October.
