Game of Thrones season 7: Daenerys Targaryen to be betrayed by THIS unlikely ally?
A NEW theory has predicted that Game of Thrones heavyweight Daenerys Targaryen may be betrayed by one of her closest friends and confidantes.
Game of Thrones: First look at episode 4 season 7
The fourth episode of the HBO fantasy series saw the Mother of Dragons' (played by Emilia Clarke) handmaiden Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) declare her loyalty to her Queen in a conversation with Jon Snow (Kit Harington).
She claimed that she was only with her leader because she wanted to be, and told the King of the North that if she asked to leave, Daenerys would happily provide her with a boat.
But when she later told her Queen that her relationship with Greyworm (Jacob Anderson) had progressed and she was anxious about him being in enemy territory at Casterly Rock, fans of George R. R. Martin's books were intrigued.
One Reddit fan has speculated that this refers to the books' prophecy about Daenerys facing three betrayals for blood, gold and love.

Game of Thrones: Daenerys and Jon have been growing closer
Game of Thrones: Missandei has been the Queen's closest friend for a while
As the first two have already been fulfilled - the first was when Daenerys lost her son and the second was Jorah Mormont's (Iain Glen) betrayal earlier in the show - this potentially leaves Missandei to be blinded by her love for the Unsullied soldier.
If Greyworm is captured by the Lannisters, Missandei could be desperate enough that she teams up with the conniving and manipulative Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) to save him.
Another version of the theory could actually be in the form of Daenerys' Hand, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage).
As the seventh season progresses, Daenerys' trust in her adviser has gradually waned, leaving viewers wondering if the sharp dwarf will jump ship altogether.

Given he was forced to watch his brother face dire peril in the series' latest episode as well, this may not be too much of a stretch for Tyrion.
Game of Thrones continues on HBO this Sunday in the US and will be simulcast on Sky Atlantic on Monday at 2am. Catch up on seasons one to seven on NOW TV.
