Eager to support her daughter and her marriage to Nathan (played by Chris Harper), Sarah (Tina O'Brien) suggests that they go to a wedding fair.
But when Bethany (Lucy Fallon) fails to show up for their afternoon out, she storms round to Nathan's flat demanding answers.
But when she arrives, she finds her daughter dressed in a sexy outfit and passed out drunk on the sofa while Nathan has gone in search of his friend Neil (Ben Cartwright).
Sarah is horrified to see Bethany scantily clad and decides to take her home where she can keep an eye on her.

Back at the Platt's house, Sarah tells her boyfriend Gary Windass (Mikey North) that she is never letting her daughter out of her sight again.
But when Bethany wakes up she panics that she has let Nathan down by missing his party and attempts to leave.
However, the teen is shocked to discover that her mum has locked her in and she lashes out by throwing ornaments at the wall.
Can Gary and Sarah contain Bethany's fury and convince her that Nathan isn't a good boyfriend?

It comes after it was reported that Bethany will try to report the abuse she has suffered at the hands of her fiancé only to discover his sick friend Neil is a police officer.
The teen will be devastated when he tells her that she's not even safe at the police station and has no one to turn to.
