Coronation Street spoiler: Bethany Platt reports abuse only to make 'terrifying' discovery
BETHANY PLATT will take action to try and escape her abusive boyfriend on Coronation Street when she tries to report the crime to the police.

In a storyline which has shocked viewers, the 16-year-old (played by Lucy Fallon) has been groomed by her much older boyfriend Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper).
Last month, Bethany was raped by one of Nathan’s friends Neil (Ben Cartwright), who had been preying on her for weeks.
In upcoming scenes, the daughter of Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) will finally pluck up enough courage to go to the police station as Nathan tries to introduce her to other men.
However, in a cruel twist, she will discover that one of the men involved in the sex ring, Neil, is in fact a police officer, who in turn tries to silence her.

Things are going to get worse for Bethany long before they begin to get better
He ominously tells her: “You’re not even safe in a police station.”
A Corrie insider told The Sun on Sunday: “This dark twist in Bethany’s story comes as a real shock.
“She is convinced her ordeal will end when she goes to the police station — and is utterly horrified to find out she was wrong.

“She is terrified of Neil and terrified that her family could be at risk and her fear forces her into an even darker place.
“Things are going to get worse for Bethany long before they begin to get better.”
