After last week's dramatic live knockouts, the 51-year-old's team was wittled down to the final three of Truly Ford, Max Vickers and Sarah Morgan.
Ahead of tomorrow's quarter finals, Team Gavin spoke to press including Express.co.uk about their chance to work with the Bush frontman.
Truly, 22, was quick to praise Gavin and his work ethic, saying: "He's amazing and he's really supportive. He's a really normal guy, very talented and very hands on. He's so helpful.
"I didn't expect to see him as much, I don't know why, but he's there even when he doesn't need to be… He's always around!" she gushed.
Truly hit headlines last week after viewers complained on social media that Gavin's decision to keep her in the competition was the "wrong decision".

However, she will return to the quarter finals with a bang, performing her unique version of Ellie Goulding's Lights.
Referencing Gavin's days in Bush, Max, 24, was also quick to praise the singer, saying: "He's really calm and he's the epiphany of cool, but when he's on stage he's an animal."
Truly echoed: "We saw him live and he was insane and really inspiring and made me think I can rock out!"
Truly also revealed that Gavin helps his team with every aspect of their performance, from top to toe.
"Gavin is there every step of the way - even for the battles. I was wearing these platforms heels and I couldn't walk down the stairs so he changed my shoes! He's there even to that little detail. He's helping us to become ourselves," she explained.

Being one of the youngest acts in the competition can't be easy but for 16-year–old Sarah, but Gavin's support has made her feel at ease.
"I had an outfit on that I didn't really like and he said, 'I'd rather you felt comfortable on stage'.
"If you need something he'll help you with it, which is good," she explained.
After stunning audiences with her rendition of Whitney Housten's classic I Will Always Love You, Sarah was given the public's vote and will perform Lorde's hit Royals tomorrow night.
Indie artist Max, who was the first to go through on the public vote, will perform another fast-paced rock anthem with Lonely Boy by The Black Keys.

Normally performing with a guitar, Max revealed that Gavin has been keen to make him move around more.
"He's helped me a lot with performance wise because before the show I only sang with a guitar, so on the show I've developed a lot with my movement.
"Gavin gets on stage with me and he says, 'You could run over here and do something here and then run over here'. He's really good, he's top," he added.
The Voice UK quarter finals will air tomorrow at 8:30pm on ITV.
