The Voice: Is Sir Paul McCartney joining the judging panel as show moves to ITV?
WITH The Voice moving from the BBC to ITV, bosses are reportedly eager to land a star-studded judging panel that will ensure it is the best series yet.
According to reports the broadcaster are keen to land Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney for the show.
A source told The Sun: "ITV are determined to make the show a real success when it changes channel so they are really going for it.
"Paul McCartney is undoubtedly one of the greatest musicians to have ever lived so to get him signed up would be a real coup."
They added: "It would blow the judges from the BBC series out of the water and would set The Voice apart as the top music contest in the world - well above X Factor or equivalents in the US."
However it seems unlikely Sir Paul will be spinning around in a red chair any time soon as he is busy with his own music career.
The source added: "While the ITV offer has been generous, Paul really doesn't need the money and wants to focus on his own music.
"His One on One world tour does not end until October, when filming for the show is likely to begin.
"It's all still up in the air but The Voice really is trying to pull out all of the stops this time."

It comes after it was reported that Sir Tom Jones and Kylie Minogue would return to the singing competition.
While Sir Tom may have told the BBC to "go f*** themselves" after he was axed from the show last year, it is believed he would return as it changes channels.
Sources have also claimed that Kylie is set to make a comeback with Will.i.am thought to be the only remaining coach.
Following these reports an ITV spokesperson told the publication an announcement regarding the full judging line-up will be made in due course.
