BBC fans were thrilled when it was announced Colin from Accounts would be returning to the network for a second season. It has been dubbed as one of “the best shows of all time” after pulling in stellar viewing figures.

The Australian romantic comedy, produced by Binge and Foxtel, has become an international hit in over 100 countries since its first season premiered back in 2022. This has led to it having a rare score of 100 percent on the film and television aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

Viewers have just days to catch up on the comedy before the highly anticipated sequel is released. It will air at 10pm on BBC Two, on September 3, with all episodes available to stream on iPlayer.

Set in Sydney the series follows main characters Gordon and Ashley, played by husband-and-wife duo Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer. They end up being thrown together after she flashes her chest to Gordon while crossing the road.

The huge blunder leads Gordon to hit a stray dog, who ends up becoming injured and needing care. After rushing to his aide they decide to adopt the canine, naming him Colin.
