This Morning and Lorraine taken off air in ITV schedule shake-up
This Morning and Lorraine have been cancelled tomorrow as ITV has decided to extend Good Morning Britain for an additional 25 minutes
ITV is poised for a major reshuffle as the network has chosen to cut its famed breakfast programmes, This Morning and Lorraine on Friday.
The regular schedule tomorrow morning will experience a significant shift making room for a complete day dedicated to Election results coverage.
Good Morning Britain is set to run an additional 25 minutes, ending at 9.25am with Susanna Reid being accompanied by her co-star Ed Balls for this special broadcast.
Also expected to join them are Kevin Maguire, journalist Andrew Pierce, Labour stalwarts Harriet Harman and Gordon Brown, along with Boris Johnson's former communication expert Guto Harri.
Later, reporter Julie Etchingham will anchor a separate show and lead the political section as results from the polling stations pour in, reports the Mirror.

She will be supported by a team of ITV political correspondents based at Westminster and Downing Street to bring you their insights. This will result in This Morning and Lorraine being pulled off air.
"The studio will host the best, brightest, most outspoken and listened to political policymakers and commentators in the country," an ITV representative said to The Sun.
"This includes leading political punditry pairing Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire, former PM Boris Johnson's communications chief Guto Harri, Labour veteran Harriet Harman, former Chancellor of the Exchequer Kwasi Kwarteng and newly enabled Labour peer Ayesha Hazarika."
"They will all join as guests as the show continues to cover up-to-the-minute election news and insights through to 9.25am."
They added: "ITV will remain on air from 9.25am with Julie Etchingham leading the coverage.
"Will Rishi Sunak stay in Number 10 or will Keir Starmer arrive for the first time? Who will be moving into ministerial offices? Dramatic political questions are likely to be answered during the live coverage on Day 2."
Meanwhile, the BBC will also cancel some fan-favourite shows on Friday as it provides updates on the results of the General Election.
The coverage began today at 9:55pm and will continue until 4:30pm on Friday before BBC One broadcasts the latest from Wimbledon.
The election and summer sports coverage have led to the cancellation of popular shows like Animal Park, Bargain Hunt, and Escape To The Country this Friday.
