Lorraine's stand-in host confirmed as huge ITV star as he breaks silence
Lorraine's replacement has been confirmed as a huge ITV star who will take the reins from the Scottish presenter for the first time next week.
A huge ITV star will be stepping in for Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled show next week.
ITV viewers are used to seeing Joel Dommett, 38, fronting The Masked Singer, but can expect to see him hosting two upcoming episodes of Lorraine. Lorraine regularly takes time off from her TV show and is often replaced by Loose Women star Christine Lampard and Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh.
This will be Joel's first time hosting Lorraine. The I'm A Celebrity star will be joined by his wife Hannah Cooper as well as his mum Penny, who will present a segment about gardening.
Expressing his excitement over the new role, Joel told The Mirror: "I can’t believe I’m going on Lorraine for two days! I love being a guest and I’m so excited to be temporarily filling her wonderful shoes.

"It’s the comfiest seat on telly by far so I can’t wait to sit on it for a full hour. Tune in for some wholesome morning niceness."
Lorraine is equally thrilled that Joel will be filling her shoes while she takes some time off. "I’m so happy we can unmask Joel as the host of my show on Thursday and Friday of this week," Lorraine said. "He will be keeping my sofa warm for me whilst I’m away."
The 64-year-old added: "This is a first for Joel and I know he’ll do a wonderful job. He’s one of the best in the business and I couldn’t be more pleased to be handing him the reins for a couple of days".
In January, Lorraine was unmasked by Joel as Owl on The Masked Singer. The comedian couldn't hide his shock over the reveal as he said: "This might be one of the best reveals we’ve ever had on the show."

Lorraine, who recently revealed she is set to become a grandmother for the first time, admitted she thoroughly enjoyed her stint on the ITV singing competition.
"I’ve loved being Owl, I’ve loved every single second, the show is so joyful," the Scottish star said. Earlier this year, Lorraine opened up about why she is often missing from her show, revealing it's because she is looking after her mother who is unwell.
She told Woman’s Hour: "You should never comment on things like that if you don’t know what’s really going on in people’s lives. But I am having to take quite a few Fridays off, because my mum’s really not well."
