Coronation Street fans are desperate to know who is responsible for Lauren Bolton's (played by Cait Fitton) death on the ITV soap.

Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is behind bars as the number one suspect, but the real killer is set to be revealed soon. Could it be Roy after all, or is it someone else in Weatherfield?

In upcoming scenes, Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) is taken aback when she discovers Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) declaring her love to someone on her laptop, suspecting it's Rowan (Emrhys Cooper), though Leanne denies it.

Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) is left stunned when Toyah shares what she overheard and he rushes home, only to find Rowan and Leanne hand in hand on the sofa. Will Leanne be able to explain?

Toyah pleads with Leanne to see Rowan for who he truly is, but their conversation is cut short as the police arrive at the home.

Moments later Kit (Jacob Roberts) arrests Toyah for murder following the discovery of a baby's body buried in the park.

Earlier this year, viewers discovered Toyah gave birth to a stillborn baby girl at the age of 19.

She learned the park where she buried her baby was due to be excavated, threatening to expose her secret.

Fans of the ITV soap may recall that back in 2001, Toyah was brutally raped by an unknown attacker after a night out with Sam Kingston (Scott Wright).

She was later found and helped home by Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas).

Following the traumatic incident, Toyah provided a statement to the police and underwent a hospital examination, leading to several male residents becoming suspects.

The aftermath saw Toyah battling agoraphobia and struggling to cope. The plot took a chilling turn when Toyah recognised the voice of her friend Phil Simmonds (Jack Deam), realising he was her rapist.

When Phil discovered she knew, he tried to prevent her from leaving, but Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) came to her rescue, hearing her screams and knocking Phil unconscious.

Phil was subsequently convicted for the rape and sent to prison.

What will happen to Toyah following her arrest? Will she make a confession?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday's on ITV at 8pm.
