Since Christine Tremarco arrived in Emmerdale village starring as Rose Jackson, she has ruffled more than a few feathers. The ITV actress, 47, who has starred in a string of TV shows, arrived in April and has since tried to repair her relationship with daughter Dawn Taylor (played by Olivia Bromley).

However, Dawn and her partner Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) were left devastated when it was revealed their young son Evan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Since then Rose has attempted to play her part and pitch in to support the family.

Dawn heard that Evan’s temperature skyrocketed following his chemotherapy. Which saw her spiral and interrogate Billy over what could have caused it.

Suffering from exhaustion the mother-of-one thought that there may have been a germ passed to the little one - which he said was an impossibility. Due to the manic state, they decided to leave their son with Dawn's father Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).

Following the tense moment, Dawn is grateful when Rose offers her some respite. Although she suggested that she get some rest and have a nightcap.

Rose convinced Dawn to sit down and join her for a brandy to unwind and switch off as you could see that she was agitated.

Will was then left horrified when he caught Rose offering Dawn some heavy-duty sleeping tablets.

He was heard shouting at her and explaining that Dawn is extremely fragile following her vulnerable battle with addiction in the past.

He said that Dawn was in recovery and gave her a stern warning that she was on her last chance at Home Farm and she needed to fix up.

However, Dawn was forgiving and believed that it was not intentional at all and was just a faux pas.

She also loved that she had a doting mum who wanted to support her, while enjoying the time they’d spent together.

In turn, Rose appears over the moon that her daughter is accepting of their newfound bond and relationship.

So far their relationship has been fractured after Rose abandoned Dawn when she was a child and leaving the youngster to end up in the care system.

Dawn was raised by her father Will, before being placed into foster care and had a troubled life until she found stability at Home Farm with her dad and his wife Kim Tate.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
