The Traitors: Contestants compete in bird noises challenge
Fans of BBC’s popular game show The Traitors fear one player has put herself in the firing line after her reaction to the first banishment. On Thursday’s instalment of the show, the contestants decided to get rid of Sonja, who turned out to be a faithful.
However, after watching how Diane acted once Sonja revealed she wasn’t a traitor, viewers think it has put a target on her back. Taking to Twitter @lindastudd said: "Diane sooooo going to get herself banished. She's damn perceptive but she's equally as opinionated and annoying. #TheTraitorsUK #TheTraitors."
@deverauxsssoaks added: “Diane started off strong but she’s going out bad with getting it wrong with Anthony she needs to do better #thetraitors,. Twitter user @OfficialCallumW commented: "Honestly. I’d be getting rid of Diane if I were a traitor #TheTraitorsUK #TheTraitors."
Viewer @DKMarketing_ldn tweeted: "Diane is playing this game all wrong. #TheTraitorsUK #TheTraitors #Traitors,” With @BbukSave saying: “Diane’s put a target on her back cheering when Sonja got banished #TheTraitors."
Agreeing, user Grace O'Sullivan: "Diane's reaction there isn't gonna do her any favours in the next vote......... #TheTraitors."
During the episode, tensions started to grow in the Scottish castle as the group were tasked with trying to find their first traitor.
At the roundtable, Diane was the first person to speak in the group as she made it clear from the start who she believed was playing the game.
Kicking things off, she said: “This started for me, the very first day we arrived. We had to stand in line and because of last year, I wanted to be in the middle.
“I went and stood behind Antony to get in the line and he looked down at me and he just wouldn’t move. I said, ‘Can I get in please?’

“He still continued to look at me and wouldn’t move, to me that smacks of somebody who is out for themselves, absolutely not having that.”
However, Antony defended himself saying she was the only person in the group who had not spoken to him during their time in the competition.
There seemed to be a few people who agreed with Diane, believing Antony could be quite defensive.
However, in the end, it was Sonja who was banished after receiving the majority votes.
When she told the group she’d got it wrong, Diane threw her arms up in the air and shouted: "Yes!”
Her thrilled reaction over sending someone home who wasn’t a traitor seemed to puzzle some of the contestants as the retired teacher tried to justify herself later on.
In the bar after the banishment, she said: “I was so convinced she wasn’t a traitor, I thought I was going to say it.
“Then of course when she said she was a faithful I went, ‘Yes!’ but, that’s awful. It would’ve been a lot better if she was a traitor and I am sorry.”
The Traitors continues Friday on BBC One from 9pm.
