An enormous theme park in France is now home to Europe’s biggest waterslide.

Stingray opened this summer at O’Gliss park in Le Bernard. It is a two-person ride which has become the largest waterslide in Europe.

The new 85ft-tall ride has four different routes - each promising riders a unique experience.

O’Gliss has called Stingray a "unique and immersive water park experience", with the multi-route design a "world-exclusive".

The park’s website says: "In a two-person float, answer the call of the Stingray and get your fill of sliding on the different descents.

"Whichever of the four routes you take, you’ll be immersed in a thrilling experience as you whirl around on the wings of the Stingray.

"At a height of 26 meters, you’re sure not to miss any of your friends’ descents, and you’ll want to do each one again and again."

O’Gliss claims to have four “world-exclusive” rides, such as its “Wild Rivers” which have 1,312 feet of trails with differing speeds.

The Ludo’Park is a spot for younger children and families to play. There is also the Delir’Space, an area with 12 slides ranging from beginner to advanced.

There is also a virtual white water rafting experience, a surfing bar with foam parties, a private beach and a wave pool.

The park has hundreds of five-star reviews on TripAdvisor. One visitor wrote: "We were really impressed with the park. The park was very clean and well-maintained. Some fantastic flumes and attractions”

Another said: “This place is amazing. A fair amount of money, but we enjoyed it so much that we may go back again.”

To get to the French waterpark, Brits can fly into La Rochelle with Ryanair. From there it is a short drive to O’Gliss.
