A day at a theme park can be a thrilling experience, but the costs of entry fees, food and travel can quickly add up, making it an expensive outing here in the UK.

If you're considering splurging on a theme park adventure, why not consider one a bit further afield?

Prague, known as one of Europe's most affordable capital cities, offers more than just cost-effective fun.

For those seeking adrenaline-pumping excitement this September, Wizz Air is offering return flights for as low as £36.99 - a staggering £32 less than a single pay-on-the-day ticket to Alton Towers.

While savvy theme park enthusiasts may find cheaper tickets online, a trip to Prague still presents an unbeatable deal with its plethora of attractions. The city boasts cheap beer, delectable cuisine, historic architecture, vibrant nightlife and a buzzing music scene.

Prague truly comes to life during the summer months with festivals, live music, floating beer gardens and other events scattered throughout the city. As autumn approaches, a wine festival engulfs the city, and come winter, the Christmas markets (including one of Europe's largest in Old Town Square) illuminate the streets, adding a magical touch to Prague.

The city also boasts LunaPark, a seasonal adventure park complete with rollercoasters, a shooting range, and an observation wheel. With just under two hours' flight time from London, Prague is the perfect destination for a quick city break or short stay.

An abandoned house in the heart of Prague has been transformed into a horror theme park, offering a mix of intense scares and adrenaline-pumping rides. Easily accessible from anywhere in the city, it's the ideal spot for thrill-seekers who aren't afraid to scream and laugh simultaneously.
