A new train line worth £4.7million offering a tour to six beautiful European cities has launched, making it a perfect trip for the summer season.

The new S-106 trains on Renfe Avlo rail service offer more seats, better travel times, greater comfort, and better performance.

The services launched in May and offer amplified travel options to destinations such as Valencia, Alicante/Alacant, Valladolid, Murcia, Zaragoza, and Barcelona.

To attract more tourists, the company has launched an introductory offer starting from just £6 for selected routes including Madrid – València,  Madrid – Zaragoza – Barcelona, Alicante – Madrid, Murcia – Valladolid, Valladolid – Alicante, and Madrid – Murcia.

The rail service, Renfe, said on the official website: "The S106 models form part of the company's package of investments in new material, with more than £4.2 million (5000 million euros) dedicated to the purchase of a new fleet and the renewal of the existing fleet.

"These are the first trains that the company has received as part of this major investment plan, which has seen an investment of 1,281.5 million euros in the S106 model alone.

"Renfe commissioned Talgo to manufacture thirty S106 trains.

"These trains boast 12 carriages per train and more than 500 seats in total, depending on the train's layout.

"High-speed trains boast improved features, with touch screens in all seats and comfort (with 2+2 seating arrangements) and standard or tourist (3+2) spaces in addition to a cafeteria service.”

Renfe Avlo is a low-cost high-speed train service operated by Renfe, Spain's national railway company.

Launched in 2021, Avlo is designed to offer affordable and efficient travel options on popular routes in Spain

The service aims to provide a cost-effective alternative to Renfe's main high-speed service, AVE (Alta Velocidad Española), making high-speed train travel more accessible to a broader range of passengers.

As per the plans, the train line will have an extension soon which will add more cities on its route.

The update reads: "The roll out of these new trains see 20,000 seats freed up per week on different lines between different cities in nine autonomous communities: Madrid, Andalusia, Extremadura, Catalonia, Aragon, Castile and Leon, Castile-La Mancha, the Region of Valencia and La Rioja."
