Coronation Street fans 'work out' Kit's sinister revenge plan for Bernie

Coronation Street fans have ‘rumbled’ how Kit will get his revenge on mum Bernie.

Earlier this year, Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) confessed she has a son that she gave up for adoption almost thirty years ago. All that Bernie knew was that he had his name changed from Zodiac to Christopher Green not long after he was born.

After tracking him down, it was then revealed that he was actually a detective who recently turned up to the cobbles: Christopher 'Kit' Green. Eventually the truth came out about him being Bernie's biological son - but Kit (Jacob Roberts) didn’t want anything to do with her or her family.

Meanwhile Bernie’s twins Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash) have got no idea they have another brother.

What’s more, Kit also had a part to play in sicko Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) getting sent to prison for the murder of Lauren Bolton. As fans will recall, the troubled youngster went missing earlier this year and is presumed dead.

But in a shock twist, Kit planted Lauren’s DNA in paedophile Nathan's van and framed him. In reality, viewers learned the truth about Lauren’s disappearance: she was actually beaten to death by solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill).

And during Monday’s episode (July 1) despite telling Bernie they would tell the twins the truth together, Kit went behind her back and dropped the bombshell without her.

Gemma and Paul were left stunned at the revelation - and when she arrived, Bernie was horrified to see them all together.

In hopes of causing chaos, Kit was able to get what he had to say out there without Bernie stopping him. He then watched as Gemma and Paul confronted their mum, as he claimed she was happy to abandon him as a kid.

Now fans of the ITV soap reckon this isn’t the end for Kit and Bernie - with some predicting that Kit could end up framing his mum for a crime to get his revenge.

On a Reddit thread, one person said: “What’s Kit’s game here?!” Someone else replied: “Get back at Bernie probably make Paul hate her and not be able to forgive her :(.”

While over on X, formerly known as Twitter, another fan wrote: “Right that's it! Kit is officially a wrong 'un!” A second mused: “I think he’s going to frame Bernie for a crime or something, the ultimate payback.”

A third chimed in: “He's not right this one. I think that Kit's in league with Joel. I've just got this feeling.” A fourth wrote: “Something’s definitely not right about Kit. I've got a bad feeling about him.”
