TWO gunmen riding motorbikes opened fire at a fundraiser for the cancer treatment centre The Christie Hospital on Deansgate in Manchester.

People close by ran to safety last night after the shots were fired at the windows of the Living Room bar during the fundraiser.
Punters were forced out of the back door after the shots were fired.
Lewis Seery, 29, who was DJing at the scene said: “I was upstairs on the balcony and we got told to shut the music off. I turned round and could see damage on the door. It was all smashed where the bullets had hit it.

"At the time I didn’t know what was going on, I was just shocked. Were were told to shut the music off and we went out of the back door.
“It was an event for The Christie and unfortunately this happened. They shot at a charity event.”
People say they heard loud bangs before seeing the men speed off on motorbikes.
Polish rushed to the scene after reports of the shooting
Amir Shehata, 31, a security guard at the Barton Arcade, said everyone was “screaming and shouting” with some people diving on the floor and “others were running back in the bars”.
Nobody was hit by the gunshots, but a man was injured when he ran for cover.
Armed officers rushed to the scene, which was cordoned off after the attack at 10:15pm.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman confirmed: “Shortly after 10.15pm on Wednesday 3 May 2017 police were called to Deansgate to reports of shots being fired.
"Two men arrived on a motorbike and fired shots at a bar before fleeing the scene. One man suffered a minor injury but not as a direct result.
“Police are in attendance and an investigation is ongoing.”
